To do this, your blog needs to be associated with our phone. It does this using the Google+ phone app. But, I had a problem! My blog was set up using the school email (jhubbard@ttsd.k12.or.us) and the Google+ app needs a gmail account to make this association!
After some poor choice of words, I came up with a solution. I added my gmail account as a admin to my blog. Like adding authors to your blog, you can also add administrators. Then I edited my blog from my gmail account. When I went to add a picture, I selected from my phone and saw all the pictures on the phone. From there it was easy to select pictures and upload them.
